TRUST & GOVERNANCE
Trusted with execution. Never with authority.
ARGOS will do a week of work without being asked twice. It will not decide what your product should be, spend your money or touch your infrastructure.
The questions buyers ask
Can it change production on its own?
No. Infrastructure and production changes require a named human.
Who approves the work?
Routine work is approved against rules you set. If there’s any doubt, ARGOS stops, holds the work and asks a person.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes, a complete one. Every decision, specification, review and change is recorded and attributable.
What if it’s wrong?
Every change is reviewed, tested and reversible. Data changes are written so they can be undone.
Does it decide product direction?
No. It lays out options and consequences. The decision is yours, and it’s recorded as yours.
Can different people have different authority?
Yes. Authority is set per person and enforced, not just advised.
What ARGOS is not
We say this up front because it matters.
It doesn’t replace engineering judgement.
It replaces the hours spent carrying out judgement already made.
Output quality tracks specification quality.
That’s why every request is investigated and specified before any code is written.
Novel architecture still needs a person.
And so do genuinely ambiguous product decisions. ARGOS is built to stop and ask rather than guess.
It works best on a codebase with tests.
If yours has few, the first engagement helps build that footing.
